All: Came to USA c May-July 1872 as 10 yr old. Herman had a younger brother named Christopher and one infant sibling who died on voyage to USA. LORENZ and MONTHIE families must have known each other from West Prussia. Marriage between Herman and Pauline was probably pre-arranged by parents. In 1887 Herman (25 yrs), went to Detroit, married Pauline (19 yrs)there and brought her back to NY in short period of time.
